Face Recognition System
Face Recognition System is python-based project. In this system we can detect and recognize faces in images as well as on live webcam feed.
Motivation: The main motivation behind developing this system
is increasing demand of fast and accurate
authentication and identification. In this system there
is no physical interaction.
Face recognition System is
highly accurate and high enrolment. It is almost
similar to human being. This system is accurate and
allows us for high enrolment and verification rates.
This system can use our existing devices like camera,
webcam of our laptop or PC.
Face recognition system
can be use by the police to find thief and also find
missing person. Face recognition system can be also
used in airport to scan and recognizes face.
Implementation Analysis:
To create a complete project on Face Recognition, we
must work on 3 very distinct phases:
1. Face Detection and Data Gathering
2. Train the Recognizer
3. Face Recognition
Face detection: face detection refers to computer
technology that is able to identify the presence of people’s
faces within digital images.
Face recognition: Facial recognition is a way of
identifying or confirming an individual’s identity using
their face. Facial recognition systems can be used to
identify people in photos, videos, or in real-time.
Face recognition is a method of identifying or verifying the identity of an individual using their face. There are various algorithms that can do face recognition but their accuracy might vary. Here I am going to describe how we do face recognition using deep learning.
OpenCV: OpenCV (Open-Source
Computer Vision Library) is a cross platform library using which we can
develop real-time computer vision
applications. It mainly focuses on image
processing, video capture and analysis
including features like face detection and
object detection.
To develop this project, we use
pycharm IDE.
Conclusion:
Face recognition systems are currently associated with many
top technological companies and industries making the work
of face recognition easier. The use of python programming
and OpenCV makes it an easier and handy tool or system
which can be made by anyone according to their
requirement. Hence by the use of python and OpenCV the
face recognition system can be designed for various
purposes
